Notice of Vacancy - Cameron Park Design Review Committee

TWO (2) VACANCIES EXIST ON THE CAMERON PARK DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR A RESIDENT MEMBER. A Design Review Advisory Committee shall consist of five members, not including officials of the County. These members shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors, selected as follows: At least three members shall be residents and owners of property in the area served by the Committee. Two members may be business owners of property within the area and not be residents. The appointed members of the Design Review Advisory Committee shall serve without compensation and shall not be entitled to reimbursement of mileage or necessary expenses by the County. Description: This Committee will review processes to provide protection, enhancement and use of places, sites, buildings and structures having special character, aesthetic interest and value; enhancement of tourism and the economy of the County by protecting and preserving places having special and unique character and interests. Term for this Vacancy: Term Expiration 1/1/2022 (Balance of a four-year term currently vacant).

(1) ONE VACANCY EXISTS FOR AN AT-LARGE-MEMBER ON THE COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. Pursuant to El Dorado County Resolution 177-2017, the At-Large-Members will be selected from business, industry, trade organizations, the private and public sectors, educational institutions, or a Chamber of Commerce within the County. This is a non-district specific appointment.

Description: The Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee is advisory to the Board of Supervisors in developing the Countywide Economic Development Plan, preparing annual reports concerning activities, achievements and recommendations, sponsoring business related seminars, forums and training workshops, reviewing existing County regulations and procedures to eliminate unneeded inconsistent and redundant legal requirements; and reviewing on a periodic basis the County government structure for consistency with efficient and cost effective regulation of business.

Term for this Vacancy: Four-year term (Vacant-Fill existing term). Term Expiration January 1, 2019.

California Competes Tax Credit Workshops & Application Periods

California Competes Tax Credit Workshops

Prior to each application period, GO-Biz hosts workshops and online webinars about the California Competes Tax Credit program. Each workshop or webinar consists of a 45-minute presentation, followed by a question and answer session. Each presentation includes the following:

  • Overview of the program
  • Program goals and evaluation criteria
  • Step-by-step instructions through the application process

All businesses are encouraged to attend a workshop to receive instructions on how to apply.

We also provide webinars for those who are unable to attend workshops. Visit our California Competes Tax Credit Webinars page for schedule information.   

The Sacramento Workshop will be held on January 4, 2018.  If you are unable to attend, there are a few webinar dates between December 18 - January 16.
